Fight For Christchurch – 30th November 2012 – CBS Arena, Christchurch

Hi There, ,

The Star Photographers team were very lucky once again to get to photograph the “Fight For Christchurch” Charity Event 2012 at CBS Arena, Christchurch, 30th November 2012.

Hosted by 3 of New Zealand’s best – Brendan Pongia, Haley Holt and Leigh Hart.

It was a night of celebrity and glamour with big names like Gold Medalist Olympian Sofi Pasco, All Black Andrew Ellis and Radio & T.V man Jason Gunn attending.

It was an amazing event with pyrotechnics, pre fight build ups, great fights, entertainment and music.

Fight For Christchurch is Justin Wallace’s brain child to give back to Christchurch’s needy Charities and from humble beginnings in April 2010 at Cowles Stadium $38,000 was raised, in 2011 $120,000 was raised and to this years whopping $135,000!! Well Done Justin.

The night was full of excitement an introduction of Loud Pyrotechnics, Tron Dancers with Mirror Ball Man being lowered from the ceilings lighting rig, the grande entrance of the celebrity hosts Brendan & Haley in Hot Rod’s and Man of the People Leigh Hart running out of the changing rooms as a pumped up fighter with his entourage of hotties.

The fights were of the highest standard with 3 rounds of 2 minutes, the contenders had prepared well putting on the greatest spectaclel!

The Charity Auction raised $35,000 on the night, with a beautiful boxed mountaineering Ice pick signed by Sir Edmund Hillary going for a massive $11,000.

A Big Glove Competition was held with 2 people from the audience slugging it out for 2 rounds of 20 seconds using huge boxing gloves.

The best coustume went to a man dressed as a Mexican Fighting Hero.

The Grande Finale also amazing with more pyrotechnics, entertainment by emerging rock band “The Make Believe” and talented singer Laural Barrett.

The after party was held at The Christchurch Casino, It looked like it was going to be a banging good night.

It was a truly brilliant evening!!

Photography Studio Hire – Christchurch

The Star Photographers studio is located in Burnside, Christchurch. Its a neat, tidy and very comfortable working environment for photographers, students, creative agencies, models, artists and their clients, also suitable for small film production companies, TVCs and promotional videos.

The studio size is 6m x 4m with high ceilings. A Colorama paper-roll support system is fitted to the wall. A separate changing room, an area for hair / make-up and bathroom and kitchen facilities are available. The studio is available for hire 7 days per week. There is a first time user discount of 10%. Ongoing rates are negotiable for frequent users, students, NZIPP* and AIPA* members:

– Half Day $300 (9am-1pm / 2pm-6pm)
– Full Day $600 (9am-6pm)
– Over-Time Hours $85 per hour

– Studio Cleaning (if necessary) $85

The George Hotel – Christchurch Weddings – Christchurch’s Premier Wedding Venues – Tina & Carl’s Wedding 17/11/12

Hi There,

The George Hotel in Christchurch is one of the Premier Wedding Venues in the Country {New Zealand}

I was very lucky to have photographed a lovely wedding on 17th November 2012, it was Tina & Carl’s Big Day and were Married by Marriage Celebrant Geoff Trotter.

After the Wedding Ceremony Star Photographer Dean Norrie got the Group Photo before doing the Family Photos.

We did some of the Bridal Party Photos in the Christchurch Botanical Gardens then back to The George Hotel to do a few more shots in the Wonderful Pescatore Reataurant.

The beautiful bride changed into traditional chinese dress for the start of the Wedding Breakfast and Reception.

I got the mock Cutting of the cake shot before I finished up.

The George Hotel is a stunning Wedding Venue and they have comprehensive wedding packages – with the use of the outside garden for the Wedding Ceremony, a wonderful function room for the Wedding Breakfast & Reception and a Honeymoon Suite for their first night together as Husband & Wife.

Melton Estate Wedding – New Zealand Vineyard Weddings – Amye & Mark Wedding – 10/11/12

Hi There,

What a really cool wedding date 10/11/12!!!

Amye & Mark were married at 3pm on the 10th November 2012 by Marriage Celebrant Julie Lassen in the brand new beautiful Pavilion at the Melton Estate, West Melton, Canterbury New Zealand.

The Blushing Bride and her entourage arrived on time in two sky blue Daimler/Jaguars.

After the Wedding Ceremony Star Photographers Dean Norrie & Beccy got a group shot before the family photos were taken in front of the stunning vineyard backdrop.

We did the Wedding Party Photos on a local farm in a field and down on the Waimakariri river bank.

Clearwater Wedding, Peppers Resort Christchurch Weddings – Tania & Carlos Wedding 20th October 2012

Hi There,

Tania & Carlos were married by TV3’s Marriage Celebrant John Selwood at 2pm on Saturday 20th October 2012.

The Wedding was held at Christchurch’s Premiere Golf Resort – Peppers Clearwater Resort, Christchurch.

It was a stunning spring day and after the Wedding Ceremony I got a group photo and the family photos before we headed off to do the Bridal Party Photos.

First we headed to The Groynes in 2 red Mustangs to do some photos then back to Clearwater, then we all jumped into 3 golf buggys and zoomed around the golf course getting some awesome photos.

The Wedding Breakfast & Wedding Reception was also held at Clearwater Resort, Christchurch.

The Entree were served first then the Speeches before Dinner,

Then it was The Cutting of the Cake before the First Dance.
